Biography:
Peter Falotico lives in Chapel Hill, North Carolina.
Falotico has a Professional Diploma from St. John’s University; a Masters of Arts from the New School for Social Research; and a Bachelor of Fine Arts, from The City University of New York, Hunter College.
Falotico had solo exhibitions of his paintings in the Hickory Museum of Art, Hickory, N.C. and the Everson Museum of Art in Syracuse, N.Y. He has exhibited in the Islip Museum, Heckscher Museum, Rockefeller Art Center, Adelphi University, The Staten Island Museum, Hunter College, Arts Club of Chicago, Fine Arts Museum of Long Island, The College of St. Rose, Kingsborough Community College, Chautauqua Art Gallery, Zaner Gallery, Saratoga Gallery, Night Gallery, Art League of Long Island and other galleries.
Mr. Falotico had installations and murals on display in Hunter College.
He worked for public and private schools, colleges, the N.Y.S Education Department, the N.Y.S Council on the Arts, the N.Y. Foundation for the Arts and the N.Y.S. Summer School of the Arts.
The Hickory Museum of Art, Hickory, N.C. hosted a solo exhibition of 44 of his paintings, embossings and pencil drawings. The exhibition was on display from October 10, 2020 through January 31, 2021. His understanding and his passion for art grew stronger as he was challenged by tragedy, health and “the times”. Within his compositions, he seeks “emotional balance”.
